Hmmm… Pizza Versus Chicken…
We love delicious food like everyone! Two of which are pizza and chicken, beloved by people worldwide. It’s hard to find many people who dislike either one of these excellent choices for dinner.
But which one is actually the better of the two?
Personally, we’re going to go with pizza!
Sure, that sounds a little biased on the surface, but we promise that there are plenty of good reasons to make this assessment, all of which we will cover in great detail.
Honestly, pizza is one of the best foods of all. Still, we’ll limit our discussion to its competition with chicken.
In fact, we’ll even go so far as to keep it as objective as possible: no weak arguments like “pizza just tastes better” because that would be up to interpretation.
But, trust us, there are some objective reasons you should consider pizza over chicken.
We hope you’ll be converted to our religion by the end of this. If you aren’t, that’s fine, but you really don’t know what you’ll be missing out on.
There’s a Type of Pizza for Everyone.
So, pizza versus chicken: what makes one better than the other?
First and foremost, we’d like to mention versatility. There’s almost no limit to what type of pizza you can have.
In the mood for lots of meat? Maybe white sauce? Some pizza has honey on it. There’s even pineapple and ham for you heathens out there.
Don’t get us wrong, it’s not like chicken can’t be done in many ways. There are many ways to cook chicken, season it, and many sauces you can cover it in or dip it in.
Of course, most of these chicken experiences are pretty different, but there is one common theme: it’s all, well, chicken!
Even though there are differences in taste based on cooking, seasonings, and sauce, the chicken will always taste the same. So this is a no-go if you aren’t in the mood.
On the other hand, pizza can be anything you want it to be.
You can have an entirely different experience based on the crust, the sauce, and the toppings. You can have a vegetarian deep dish or a menagerie of meats on a thin crust. There are even dessert pizzas out there for sweet tooth consumers.
Basically, you can put whatever you want on a pizza, and nine times out of ten, it’ll work.
Of course, we suppose you could put chocolate on chicken or something. Still, you’d have to be a particular sort to find that enjoyable.
Pizza is more versatile and customizable than chicken, period.
It Can Feed Lots of People for Cheap
Do you know why pizza is a party favorite?
It’s because it’s so darn convenient and affordable when it comes to serving many people. For example, a large-sized pizza from a restaurant is usually about $20. So even if everyone ate two slices, that could easily feed four to six people, or maybe even more!
Compare that to the price of chicken wings from restaurants: for an eight-piece count of wings, you’d usually have to pay $7 or $8. Even if you bought two sets of wings, so we are comparing a similar price, that’s only 16 wings.
That might sound like a lot, but imagine that you are still feeding four people.
Is everyone going to be satisfied with just four wings apiece?
There are next to no situations in which you could feed a large group of people with chicken for less money than you could feed them with pizza.
So you can almost always get more food for less money when you choose pizza between pizza and chicken.
That’s why it is one of the ultimate party foods.
Delivery is Always Possible
We live in a technological age that makes it very easy to order food online. Nowadays, you can order just about anything you want, even if it’s outlandish. But just because something is possible doesn’t mean it is cheap or easy.
Pizza delivery is both of those things.
The most notable thing about this regarding the ‘chicken versus pizza debate’ is that you can get any type of pizza you want to be delivered. Furthermore, you can rest assured that a pizza place nearby can give you what you need.
But when it comes to chicken, your options are usually more limited. Chicken wings are one of the only chicken products you can generally order easily. If you’re lucky, you may be able to get tenders or a chicken breast delivered under the right circumstances.
Sometimes, those circumstances may require the use of a third party like DoorDash, which requires you to pay even more money to have your food delivered to you. Nobody wants to spend more, obviously.
We’re not saying that it’s impossible to get chicken delivered; however, you will always be able to get pizza delivered.
There is always a pizza place somewhere nearby, and they are always ready to send out a pizza of your choice to your location.
But, unfortunately, you can’t get that kind of consistency with all types of chicken!
You Can Eat it Cold or Hot
One of our favorite sayings about pizza is “even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good.”
We think everyone can agree that it’s very difficult to find an unappealing pizza, assuming that it had the ingredients you like involved in it.
Everyone likes piping hot pizza, but we think that more than a few people can agree that it’s actually pretty good even when you eat it cold.
That’s definitely not something we can say about chicken. And on that note…
It’s Easy to Reheat
Pizza is one of the few “fast food” type items you can store in the fridge. Pop in the microwave, and it will still taste pretty good afterward. That’s not something you can say about many different types of food.
This is not to say that you can’t microwave chicken because you can, but it doesn’t always turn out very well. Depending on what type of chicken it is, reheating it might just make it dry, and who wants that?
Conclusion
So, what makes pizza better than chicken? There’s a diverse array of reasons, which we’ve mentioned above and will sum up now.
First of all, there’s a near-infinite number of pizza combinations. Chicken is versatile too, but not like that.
Second, pizza is a cheaper way to feed many people than chicken is.
Third, you can almost always get pizza delivery, while a chicken delivery is a little iffier.
Pizza is tasty even when it is cold, whereas chicken has no guarantee.
Finally, pizza almost always tastes good when microwaved, while chicken may not sometimes.
Don’t get us wrong, chicken is still really good: but recall that you can even get chicken on pizza, so why settle for chicken alone in the first place?
Pizza really is the best of all worlds!
